Sara loves reading about the past, because it represents precisely what reading is supposed to be–an escape to a life that is different from your own. She has always been interested in history and inherited an interest in British history from her mother. During her junior year of college, she was fortunate to spend a semester in London and has been back several times since. Sara often thinks of the Gertrude Stein quote that appears in the movie Sabrina, “America is my country and Paris is my hometown.” This describes the way Sara feels about London–she feels very at home there.

Sara was originally a member of the Beau Monde in 2010 and was fortunate enough to win the chapter’s contest, The Royal Ascot, in 2011. Unfortunately, her life changed for a while and she did not write for several years. She rejoined The Beau Monde when she returned to RWA in 2015.
