The Regency Realm

Beauty in Search of Knowledge. Fashionable young woman pausing at door of circulating library, facing forward with arm on an umbrella. 30 December 1782 Hand-coloured mezzotint.The Regency Realm is a database of over 900 references about the British Regency period, compiled by past and present members of the Beau Monde. Only current members of the Beau Monde in good standing are granted access to this database. The page specific password requested below can be found in the Making the Most of Your Membership.

There are two ways to navigate the database:
     1. Type in a search term in the “Search Articles” box below (if it doesn't work in Chrome or Safari, use Firefox);
     2. Choose a topic below to browse. Click on the topic name to see all books in that category, or click on the + button before the topic name to reveal a menu of the topic’s subcategories. Click on a book title, and you’ll be taken to the relevant entry. Expanded topics and subcategories on the home page may be collapsed again by clicking on the – button in front of the topic name.

To navigate to a different topic, subcategory, or the Regency Realm home page, use either the breadcrumbs at the top of each entry, or the Table of Contents on the right-hand side of your screen.

We are always looking for new references to add to our database. If a book you’ve used in your own research does not appear in our database, and you’d be interested in writing up an entry for us, please submit a new resource form to the Regency Realm Committee Chair.
