Today’s featured Beau Monde author is Tracy Edingfield!
Former attorney Tracy Edingfield spins steamy tales of Regency romances because love stories never get old, and we all wish to be in the moment when love magically blossoms.
After having accomplished a great deal as a practicing attorney, Tracy came to the inescapable conclusion that her soul needed more joy and so became a writer. Her first adult novel, “The Law Firm of Psycho & Satan” is a fictional piece based on real-life experiences which could have been inspired by true stories, but not necessarily. (Sly wink).
As a veteran trial lawyer specializing in divorce cases and a happily wedded woman, Tracy’s turn toward romance was a natural fit. Her research for the Regency period and historical accuracy stems from her legal background and Tracy’s dialogue is clever, having a realistic ring to it given years of listening to clients telling their stories. Tracy Edingfield’s characters are well developed and three-dimensional; nearly all have some kind of humor, whether it’s absurd or dark or just plain silly. Given Tracy’s compulsive need to ‘see what makes people tick,’ the job of an author isn’t for sissies. It requires a hard look at the motivations of people, the wide range of human responses in every conceivable situation, but like all survivors, Tracy Edingfield writes of those who face life with wit and courage because after all, how could anyone expect less?
