After her first creative writing assignment, she knew what she wanted to become. Many years went by with Laura filling her head full of story ideas and some funny fish songs she wrote while fishing with her family. Thirty-seven years later, she made her dreams a reality. With her debut novel RESCUED BY THE CAPTAIN, she set out on the path she always dreamed about.

When not writing, Laura can be found devouring her favorite romance books. Laura is married to her own Prince Charming (who for some reason or another thinks the heroes in her books are about him) and they have three wonderful children and two sweet grandbabies. Besides her love of reading and writing, Laura loves to travel. With her passport stamped in England, Scotland, and Ireland; she hopes to add more countries to her list soon.

What do you love best/interests you most about the Regency Era?

Laura says, “I love everything about the Regency Era. The clothes, the manner of speaking, the homes. Most especially the romance. The dynamics of what was allowed and what wasn’t allowed. I like to put a twist in my stories that shakes the foundation of what a woman would or wouldn’t do.”

What do you like the most about The Beau Monde? How long have you been a member?

Laura says, “I have been a Beau Monde member for a year now. I have only been a lurker, but I enjoy the open support of the group. The vast information that everyone shares to help somebody else’s story is amazing. I cannot wait to take a few of the classes this fall. The Beau Monde gives me a connection with other writers that I don’t get from my writer’s group.”
